Sticky Horse Farm

Over the years, the trees have grown up and the fields have returned to prairie.
Those fences will need some work!

Sticky Horse Farm is situated on 10 acres in the glacial moraine region of northwest Indiana, not far from the Indiana Dunes.  My dad came up with the name Sticky Horse Farm years ago because we had both horses and beehives.  When my parents first bought the place, much of the property was just a big empty, ugly mowed field.  Over the next 20 years my parents planted hundreds of trees and allowed the fields to return to native prairie.  My mother planted beautiful gardens and filled them with wildflowers.  My father dug swales and made the house and barn beautiful.  My brother kept bees and I rode horses.  It was a wonderful place to grow up.  Eventually, my brother and I moved away to start our careers and our own families.  My parents retired and moved overseas.  Now, I have the opportunity to come "back home again to Indiana" so another generation will have the chance to grow up at Sticky Horse Farm.
